The California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA” or “Act”), California Civil Code Section 1798.100 et seq., effective January 1, 2020, provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. Science of Skincare, LLC (dba iS CLINICAL) (hereafter, “iS CLINICAL” or “we”) provides the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) although we do not engage in sales of user’s “Personal Information” (as defined in the CCPA) in the conventional sense (i.e., for money). However, like many companies, we may use third party service providers to market and promote iS CLINICAL to you and may transfer Personal Information to these third party service providers for such activities and making Personal Information (such as online identifiers or browsing activity) available to third party service providers may be considered a “sale” under the CCPA.
The CCPA is a new data protection law that provides California residents with certain choices about their data, including the ability to tell companies not to “sell” their personal information. This page is here to inform you of this choice. Although the CCPA only gives California residents the right to make these requests, we allow non-California residents with the same choices about their personal information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
According to the CCPA, a consumer has the right, at any time, to direct a business to not sell, rent, share, disclose, disseminate, communicate or transfer (collectively, “sell”) personal information about the consumer to third parties. Should you elect to “opt out” of the sale of your personal information to a third party, we will not sell your personal information unless you subsequently provide express authorization for the sale of your personal information. We will respect your decision to opt out for at least 12 months before requesting that you authorize the sale of your personal information.
The iS CLINICAL website is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, and no part of the Website is designed to attract anyone under the age of 13. Because we do not intentionally collect any information from children under the age of 13, we also do not knowingly distribute such information to third parties. If you have reason to believe that a child under 13 years of age has provided us with information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will immediately delete such information, subject to and in compliance with applicable law.
You may authorize another person solely to opt out of the sale of your personal information on your behalf, and we will comply with this opt-out request provided that we are able to determine that the request is a verifiable consumer request. A verifiable consumer request means a request that is made by consumer, by a consumer on behalf of a consumer’s minor child, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that is authorized to act on your behalf. Your verifiable consumer request must include (1) sufficient information that allows us to verify your identity or provides sufficient authority to make the request; and (2) describes you request with enough detail to evaluate and respond to your request. We will not respond to any requests if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm that the personal information belongs to you. You are not required to create an account in order to make a verifiable consumer request.
Please note that the use of any personal information collected from you in connection with your opt-out request is used solely for the purpose of complying with the opt-out request.
